Carrabaun House

A wonderful location just out of Westport with easy access to town. Spectacular views from our room. The breakfast was tops and our hostess offered tips about the area also.

Could not recommend this property enough. Angela greeted us on arrival, showed us to our rooms and took our breakfast orders for the following morning. There was a list of taxi numbers and things to do in a book in the room which we used to get into Westport town which is only a short 5 minute drive away from the house. The house is beautiful and clean and Angela was so warm and welcoming she really made us feel at home. The views from the house were amazing of Croagh Patrick and the breakfast was delicious. There was hot food options for breakfast and also home made brown bread and berry and yogurt compote that Angela makes from fruit she picks from her garden. It was really one of the nicest b&b stays I’ve had and I will definitely be returning soon.

Comfortable beds, fabulous breakfast, lovely friendly host. Located just a bit out of the center of town which was an easy drive (no more than 5 minutes). The best place we stayed during our trip in Ireland!

I had a wonderful stay here. The location was absolutely amazing convenient, scenic, and made it easy to get around and explore the area. One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the breakfast, which was fresh, delicious, and offered a great variety of options to start the day right.

I was disappointed with my stay overall, mainly due to how the checkout process was handled. Although the booking clearly stated that checkout was at 12:00 PM, there was significant pressure from staff for us to vacate the room by 10:00 AM. This created an unnecessary sense of urgency and made the end of our stay quite stressful. It would be much better if the B&B either honored the advertised checkout time or communicated any changes clearly in advance
