Tornabuoni Place

The location was great. In the old center, near the river, just outside the crowd but still very nearby. Good roomsize. Very friendly man at the reception/check in. The bed and the pillows were good and the size of the bathroom as well. Nice that there was nespresso coffee and water as a welcome.

The elevator. One time someone didn't close the inner doors and I had to take the stairs. But this is not the hotels fault.

The AC didn’t work very well. It was hot.

The shower was quite moldy, the shower doors did not have rubber seals so the water flooded the bathroom every time. The bed was two twin beds pushed together with no topper so there was a 2 inch gap between the mattresses which was pretty uncomfortable

The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. It was also nice and quiet at night. Nice to have a kettle and coffee maker and the small table and chairs were perfect for us.

During our stay there was a fire alarm. An announcement on a loudspeaker said to vacate the building quickly, using the staircase. At the same time there was a power cut. There were no emergency lights inside the hotel. The front door of the property can only be opened with a key from the inside. With no electricity there was no light. It was hard to find our keys and we had to use our phones to find our way to the main door, and put our key in the lock to open the door to make an emergency exit. We would have been trapped inside the building if we had not found our key - and we only had one set! What if one of us had left and had the key to get back inside? The remaining person would have been trapped inside.
