Lovely home baking in my room when I arrived. Best breakfast experienced in my 17 nights of travel throughout the south island.
Really made to feel welcome by Al and Rosie who were very helpful in providing information on a range of topics.
Couldn't fault anything.

I chose this place over others for its free breakfast, had high expectations which were fully justified.
I appreciated the historical summary and how the older house had been done up - possibly the best combination of retro feel, attention to detail and super clean comfort i have experienced in a b and b.
Was fortunate to be able to book at such short notice and would expect to give more notice in future.
The excellent rating does not do justice to the bed which gave me my best sleep in what feels like years.

The explanatory sheet was trimmed at the top which might give the impression other former features had been removed - couldn't imagine what they might have been as all was fine but thought the hosts might like to know it crossed my mind briefly. Not actually something I didn't like but rather a feature of interest as Sherlock Holmes might have seen it.
