Cherry Lodge

Complimentary breakfast was an undexpected kindness and a treat. Thank you esepcially for the ALPHEN mix and vaired yoghurts, as well as the complimentart dishwashing.

Clear instructions on how to get in, where to find keys and information. Lovely to be left alone. Felt safe and secure while staying. Rooms were always tidied and beds remade. Once we’d left and any extras were replenished (bottled waters or clean cups).

Unfortunately, there were dark stains in the carpets, cracked ceilings that need repairing from possible previous water damage, the decorative chrome trim on the shower desperately needed cleaning due to dust and general grime. The wifi wasn’t the best and kept disconnecting me then buffering despite being so close to the router. I’m sure our bedsheets or covers weren’t changed the entire stay (6 days) which felt abit unfair.

Great to have cereals, bread, yoghurts and fruit available for breakfast in the communal dining area. Easy level access to this room as to our accommodation. Every thing included in the double room for a lovely stay including an electric fan during the heatwave, very much appreciated.

Nothing that we didn't like and would definitely book again when needing to stay in the area, while visiting family and catching up with friends.

The hosts were very nice and accommodating, they cleaned everyday which is a rare and wonderful and they always left you a snack each time which is a nice treat after work. You have your own fridge and there is a bottle of water as well in case you forgot to buy some. There is ample parking so you shouldn't struggle with that. On to the room it is spacious.

The wifi is dreadfully slow, keeps disconnecting. The phone signal there also bad. The noise from the traffic was so so disturbing at first, after a few days i was able to ignore it a lot but i would have paid double to be at peace. The room was a bit dusty with some spider webs here and there. Do not look under the bed. I thought it was an apartment style place, i didn't espect there would be 5 other residents. We all have our own ensuite but the closeness of it all makes noises bleed in. I thought it had a stove that's why i picked it, i was disappointed not to see it, but if you look closely the black appliance was not a stove, so my bad.
