The rooms were very nice

The stay was nice

Location was perfect..walking distance from train station, shopping centre, the cavern district and Albert dock. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice, from full English to continental. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the jacuzzi bath.

Nothing we enjoyed our stay

The property was nice and located right by queen square and near nice restaurants so it was perfect for my fiancées birthday

The only problem I had with the property is we had a jaccuzi but the hot water was lukewarm and would trickle out we had to literally put kettle water in just to heat it a little bit and it was still barely warm and also getting a shower was impossible if u want it warm it just trickled out unless u had it on freezing cold then the pressure would be amazing but if u wanted warm water it was terrible

I honestly expected far more for the price we paid. From the outside and in the photos, the hotel looks luxurious, but unfortunately the reality felt much more budget than expected. The breakfast was disappointing, and every morning there was a queue for coffee because there was only one coffee machine available. We also repeatedly had problems with our key card, meaning we had to keep going back to reception to get it registered again. This was particularly frustrating as our room was on the 2nd floor and the lift was extremely slow, so it became a real inconvenience. The bathroom was another disappointment. The floor had large chunks missing, which really took away from the overall appearance and certainly didn’t feel in keeping with a hotel that presents itself as luxury. There were also very loud screeching noises coming from the pipes. Thankfully, after spending some time running and adjusting the taps, the noise eventually stopped, but it shouldn’t have been something we had to deal with in the first place. Overall, the hotel looks much more luxurious than it actually feels. For the amount we paid, we expected a much higher standard and unfortunately felt it was very poor value for money.
