Nobu Hotel Barcelona

Maybe because I am used to 5 star in Asia, I expected too much. Nice room, very big, great view and soooo comfortable in the beds-pillows amazing. Got an upgrade so that was nice. An incredible gentleman on the door, it was only his second day, didn't get his name, had family in Germany-what a lovely guy and so happy and smiling-also Abdullah on the door helped with all our luggage. Bar staff pretty friendly and young man in Nobu was nice to my son. But some were ruder and felt a little off.

This is a tough one pluses and minusus if I am completely honest-first receptionist was lovely, others grumpy and a tad short tempered. Our room was upgraded and a little cake for my sons birthday at Nobu. However, just a whole feeling of it not being to the standard of say, Asia 5star and hospitality. The looks from the staff sometimes, mainly the receptionist. It was a mixed bag of stangeness. Oh and the LIFTS!!!!! Everyone was discussing the lift situation, small cramped, slow. Nobu restaurant was OK but didnt compare to oters and was the most expensive we have visited. Also-to ask for 300 euro as a fixed deposit is alot.

The hotel room was beautifully laid out and clean. Huge bed with great shower.

The lifts where slow, tied and some out of order. The price was expensive and it wasn’t quite to the standard it needed to be at. The breakfast was average - good selection of food but not to the calibre you expect from Nobu (maybe unfair to judge but felt not good enough). Location was way out for town - taxis to get round, not much locally. Roof top bar again average, couldn’t get a table despite it being quite.

Great!!! Thank you so much for treating my children so well. Really an amazing experience. We will be back soon.

I paid for an extra night so when I arrived from us I could chef ck in immediately from the long flight. When I got there my room had been given away so they gave me another room where of the sinks did not. Maintenance tried to fix it..then it came on and shut off repeatedly for a day whether so one was in the bathroom or not. It interfered with sleep.
