Hotel Astoria

Incredible service from all the staff, our room was perfect - we were given a romantic room as it was our honeymoon and it was stunning, incredible views, comfy bed. Felt really special, we love the building - stunning art deco style throughout. So beautiful. Breakfast was great in the grand dining room. Loved every second of it.

This is a beautiful old building overlooking the river. The lady on reception was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms were spacious and you were able to get a bottle of water from reception at any time. Parking has a number of options following bag drop off. each has a different price. The nearest is 24 euros for 24 hours but we parked just across the bridge which was maximum of 6 euros for 24 hours and a 5 minute walk back to the hotel. Location is very good for shops, restaurants, bars and the old town. There is a steep climb to the university but the price of Ubers or Bolt were so cheap it is easy to get there if you dont fancy the walk.

Our double bed was pretty small and would definitely not be great if you were over 6 foot as the foot of the bed had a wooden board. If it is something that you require you should know there is no tea/coffee making facilities.

This hotel has such a lovely, calm atmosphere.

Great view. Centrally located. Good transport connections.

Room had dust on the floor. I had to ask for a kettle and some tea bags. The first day they gave me a flask of hot water, tea bags, and a cup and saucer. The second day they gave me a kettle and tea bags: no cup and saucer! The washbasin in the washroom was leaking constantly.
