Woodford Dolmen Hotel Carlow

Comfortable room for a family. Lovely staff with welcoming emails and extra options. Solid breakfast. It was just a friendly, comfortable atmosphere.

I’m still confused by the elevator, which did not seem to go to the floor with the 200s rooms. Lugging my large suitcase up and down the stairs at such a highly regarded property…was odd.

I had a lovely stay at the Woodford Dolmen Hotel in Carlow. The hotel has a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and lovely surroundings. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. The food and breakfast were also enjoyable. Overall, it was a relaxing and pleasant experience. We requested if we could move to a room closer to front office and we were granted. Me and my son enjoyed the Irish breakfast but I wish there are also different variations. We enjoyed going to the woods and passing through that bridge and behind the hotel. River, nature at its best. It's I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Carlow and would be happy to stay here again!

Rooms and bathrooms way too small. The elevator access to take bags up from ground to 2nd floor was not really convenient
