Our room was spacious and beautiful with a very large window and a lovely outlook. Set in magnificent gardens, we loved the location and setting of this hotel.

Hotel is set in beautiful gardens in a fantastic French Concession location, easy walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants, parks and metro station. I stayed in 2 different rooms - both were big and very comfortable - fabulous bed! Bathroom is huge with plenty of space, a bath and a walk-in shower. Excellent breakfast, lots of Asian and Western options. Pretty good value for money in my favourite part of Shanghai!
What's not to like? It's a lovely hotel. My one quibble was that when I arrived at 9.00pm from a long, tiring train journey the only option for food and drink in the hotel was room service. I had hoped for a cosy bar to get a glass of wine and a sandwich.

Reception personal and concierge need to learn to be more friendly and helpful towards customers. Their indifferent behavior was real crap
