A charming throwback to what hotels used to be. The hotel bar overlooking the curling rink is straight out of The Shining, in a good way. Staff were very friendly upon our later-than-planned arrival, and we were walked to our warm and comfy room. The hotel was staging a jazz festival all weekend which added to the feeling of days gone by. Got up early for porridge and a swim in the warm pool. Also biscuits in the room, which always guarantees top marks from me!
Parking was tight, but only because of the jazz festival.
