Hotel Caracol Isla Mujeres

Location and vibe!

All was great.

We love Isla Mujeres and generally book a room the night we arrive before our all inclusive stay. This is the first time we tried Hotel Caracol for one night. The guy at reception at 11:30pm was very welcoming. He helped us up the stairs with our luggage to our room during a huge thunderstorm. The room was clean, large and comfortable. It was perfect for one night and we could easily spend several nights there comfortably. The pool was smaller than it appeared, but good for cooling down. The room is very close to the ferry, downtown and to the beach. Water pressure was great, shower was hot. This may sound odd, but we arrived in the middle of a thunderstorm, and many of the streets were flooded. This hotel was a short walk from the ferry and on a street that was not flooded. I’d highly recommend the hotel for your stay on Islam Mujeres especially if you want a well located, clean, safe and quiet room.

Hotel Caracol is a little gem a block off the Main Street with all the shopping and restaurants. The room had a fridge and coffee maker. We enjoyed the shady courtyard and pool with lounges as well as the 1/2 mile walk to North Beach where we could rent lounges. The room was clean and king bed is very comfortable.

The location is a walking distance from the ferry terminal.

There’s no visible signage of the hotel. Btw it’s not really a hotel, it’s like a MOTEL
