Old Manse Hotel by Greene King Inns

Hotel was right in the middle of the village, staff were really friendly and breakfast was lovely.

Twin bedroom was not connected to hotel so we was in a cottage down the street and people kept leaving the front door open so anyone from off the street could walk in and come upstairs to the rooms.

Really good location and lovely staff

The property is quite run down but it’s to be expected of an old historic building. The location and staff make up for this

Location was nice and central, the rooms had everything we needed and the bathrooms spacious too. We had breakfast each day in the restaurant with eggs cooked to order - delicious.

We could not find the car park on arrival and was full at the end of the day, so we had to park down the street.

The location was perfect

The hotel is very run down. The room was very dates, plater coming off the roof, toilet seat broken, shower head broken, the list goes on....radiator was stuck on full blast and noisy throughout the whole night! Arrived for breakfast at 9am, no one to greet us. Had to ask for clean bowl as the 6 that were present were not cleaned properly. Waited for about 10 mins before they came to ask what we wanted. Plenty staff around, but no one seemed interested. 5 others couples there for breakfast and each of them had to grab a member to ask if they could have a menu and order some food having already week sat for about 5-10 mins
