PLAZA Premium Salzburg

The room was very large, comfortable and spacious. The hotel itself was pleasant and well located for our stay. The staff member who assisted us when we checked out was particularly friendly and helpful, and gave us a very different impression from our arrival.

The check-in experience could have been much more welcoming. We arrived knowing that check-in was not until 3pm and were not expecting early access to our room. However, rather than being greeted, we were simply told that we could not check in until 3pm. We then had to ask whether we could leave our luggage and were just pointed towards a room where we could leave it, without anyone asking our names or identifying which luggage belonged to us. This did not feel particularly secure or welcoming. We also noticed that dirty sheets and linen from rooms being cleaned were regularly left in the hallways during the day. It gave the impression that housekeeping may have been under considerable pressure to have all the rooms ready by 3pm.

Well situated close to public transport good breakfast and staff were always there to help

They didn’t have a Salzburg card which a lot of other hotels do and it gives tourists a cheap way of seeing the attractions the town had to offer

Garage adn 24x7 front desk because a lot of properties did not work after 22:00 and thisnone did

The lady who checked us in was great. The breakfast was great too.

The room was big, but dirty in places - heavy dust in corners and under the bed (you could see it when seated on the armchairs facing the bed). We ran out of hand wash and shower gel after the first night. We requested for these to be replaced three times. At one point we were given mini hand soaps (from different venues). In the end, we just bought our own from shops as we gave up asking. This hotel may have premium in the name, but it wasn't premium in its offering. We were very disappointed and wouldn't return to this hotel. Compared to other hotels we stayed on our trip, this was one of the more expensive ones, but offered less than a Premier Inn in the UK.
