Great location for a stopover on our way to Scotland from London,went into Keswick beforehand which was fabulous,staff super friendly,room was small but comfortable,bed & pillows super comfortable too. We ate in the restuarant,the food was nice although not much choice if you are a 'plain' food eater like my partner but he had a burger without the trimmings and really enjoyed it. Lots of choice for breakfast,cooked fresh and delicious.
We stayed here twice, once on the way to Scotland and again on the way back,on the first stay the room was lovely and cosy but on the way back (we stayed in the same room) the window had been left open and the heating didnt come on at all and the room was really cold,we had had a long journey so just went to bed but there wasn't heating in the morning either & the bathroom was way too cold to take a shower,luckily we were leaving early, Having said all that if i go on the first stay everything was great

The lady working in the evening couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Kitchen staff great. Food great.
View over some gardens, cot wasn't assembled despite calling to confirm, put at the far end of the hallway in a small room. Overpriced for what it is.
