Nisala Guest -Galle Dutch Fort

Great location, pretty much in the centre of Galle fort. Close to bars, restaurants and shops. Run by a nice family who always made sure I had everything I needed. Spacious room, good air conditioning and nice bathroom with hot shower. Mosquito net over the bed. Tea and coffee making facilities also on offer.

There was nothing I did not like. Only that a mini fridge would’ve been useful, to keep milk in for my morning cup of tea.

Fantastic very clean comfortable Homestay room. Well priced and in a great location , but down an alley off a Main Street in the middle of the fort district so nice and quiet. Kettle and tea making provided. Great ac plus fan. We loved this homestay.

Nothing it was great

- great location in the middle of the fort - good value for money in an expensive area - decent room with kettle and aircon

- the wifi was totally broken and we had no service at all there. we tried to get it fixed with the staff but the issue persisted throughout the whole stay - instead of a sheet/ duvet we had two single blankets which wasn’t as comfy.

The location is great as it is right in the thick of the old town. The room is clean; the bathroom is large and the air conditioning works well.

The Internet connection is very weak so I really struggled as I was needing to do some online work. I kept losing connection. As I was there off season the weather was very wet so felt a bit trapped in the room especially as there is no outside view. There are steep steps up to the room so was a bit of a challenge with my heavy rucksack. Plus the bed is very firm so not very comfy. The access to the guest house is a bit scruffy as it is down a rundown alleyway but only a minute or two walk and you are on one of the main tourist streets.
