Golden Tower Hotel & Spa

I am completely blown away by the Golden Hotel & Spa. Having stayed in many five-star and luxury hotels around the world, I can honestly say this is one of the most beautiful and memorable hotels I have ever stayed in. The hotel is absolutely stunning and immaculate. From the lounge and dining areas to the gorgeous bar and beautifully designed rooms, there is a sense of understated luxury throughout. Being a boutique hotel makes it even more special - it has all the polish of a five-star property, but with a warmth and personality that larger hotels often lack. The service too was exceptional. A very special thank you to Daniele, who made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. He was incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful - genuinely wanting to make sure we were well informed/had everything we needed for our stay in a Florence. He is a true rarity in hotels today. The team in the bar and restaurant were equally wonderful - genuinely warm, attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. Thank you for the entertaining chats, Mahmoud! The wine selection was excellent, breakfast was fantastic, and the location was perfect. But it was the little touches that made us appreciate this hotel even more - from the trio of nibbles brought out whenever we sat down for a drink, to the delicious mini bites at the bar (please never stop making those ham and cheese croissants!). Even at breakfast, I was surprised (and impressed) one morning when a small plate of eggs arrived without me asking - the lovely gentleman looking after breakfast had remembered my order from the day before. These small gestures made the service feel genuinely thoughtful and personal.

The beds were too firm and a little smaller. Softer mattress or a mattress topper and upgraded bedding would be fantastic.

Was in a brilliant central location to reach attractions both sides of the river. Everything was in 5 minutes walking distance. The staff were really friendly and helped us book tours. Was in a really nice part of town, in a square just behind all the designer shops. One of the infamous wine windows was just up the street.

Nothing. There could have been a bit more choice at breakfast but there was still plenty to choose from and they made fresh eggs to order. So not really a complaint.
