Rc Hotel Kyoto Yasaka

We loved the central location and super friendly staff. The roof terrace is a great spot to get a view over the adjacent pagoda and Kyoto skyline, especially at sunset.

Nothing not to like.

This was one of my favourite hotels I've stayed in in Japan! The room was huge, and even had a tiny little balcony. I wish I could've stayed for longer. All the decor was very cool and industrial whilst still feeling modern and of course, perfectly clean. The staff were also very warm and easy to deal with and it's right in the middle of a beautiful part of Kyoto so lots of stuff to see without having to worry about taxi's or trains. The view from the rooftop is unbeatable and overall I thought the hotel was fantastic value for money.

I seemed to have the only room in the hotel that had a great big tree obstructing the view, and while this wasn't a major problem as I could kind of push the branches out of the way, I did book a room with a view and ended up not really getting that so that was a bit disappointing. The hotel appeared to be fully booked so I didn't bother requesting a different one but I did feel a little let down that I couldn't see the pagoda.

The perfect central location! Comfy beds, super clean and the staff were so nice!

Only thing we didn’t like was the spiders, many many spiders in our room but understand that there isn’t much they can do about it.
