Cala San Miguel Ibiza Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton

The location is lovely, on a great cove/beach - fantastic for swimming!! The restaurant and terrace overlooking the cove made dining special whether breakfast or dinner - food options were varied and delicious. Gym and the pool were great too! Very comfortable bedroom with terrace and lovely bathroom. The decor in the hotel was very relaxing and reflective of Ibiza. The staff however made the stay - everyone was friendly, helpful, accommodating and really worked hard to ensure a good trip, as a solo female traveller this was greatly appreciated!

Sadly the poolside bar wasn’t open when I stayed and so you had to go down to the beach bar to get drinks, not hugely inconvenient, more a point to note. One suggestion is to include a selection of non alcoholic wines / cava options, this would elevate the stay for those enjoying a wellbeing focused stay.

We’re a bit surprised only with extra parking costs but we left the car on the streets and didn’t pay to bring our car extra 15 euros each day. Not too much but we were surprised that we didn’t receive this info upfront.

Delicious breakfast, comfortable and chic room, gorgeous design throughout the hotel. Plenty of pools and loungers.

Check-in experience was very disappointing for a 5-star hotel. The two women at the reception were not welcoming at all and we felt like we were bothering them. Nothing was explained to us about the hitel facilities or activities: no information about the spa, gym, pilates classes or other activities available at the hotel. We were told that we would be contacted when our room was ready but we never received any notification. At around 3:30 we went back to the reception. Only then were our keys prepared and someone was asked to bring our luggage to the room! Check-out experience was also disappointing. I was charged for items I had never ordered. I had to insist on seeing the signed receipt which eventually confirmed that the charges belonged to another guest. Finally the air conditioning in breakfast area was extremely strong which made breakfast quite uncomfortable…
