Marquise Hotel Garni

Nice hotel in a quiet street but very close to bars and restaurants and main streets of the city center. The room was big, comfortable and clean. It was a bit hot inside and the AC is quite slow to cool the room, but eventually it got to a nice temperature. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

Despite it being very clean, some nasty smell was coming out of the bathroom drainage sometimes. The provided breakfast is OK but nothing spectacular, unfortunately the coffee is very very bad, I could not drink it even with milk. The juices from the machine are also very artificial. Overall not bad for the price but also not amazing.

Location is brilliant. Easy to walk to many places. Lots of restaurants, cafes and bakeries around. Staff - wonderful. Clean and spacious. Good value for money. Wifi worked well too.

Breakfast wasn’t great. Not a lot of food to choose from. Breads were a bit stale and dry daily. The only good part were boiled eggs and scrambled eggs. Might be traditional differences as there were a few paste like dishes and warm rice dishes for breakfast. Sausages were kept on the warmer but they were the fatty smoked ones. The bed was two single beds put together and they kept drifting apart. The bed sheet was super thin and too small for the bed, woke up with half of it off the bed every day.
