Ferman Hotel Old City -Special Category

This small hotel is very well located and has perfectly sized rooms with comfy beds and connected television. The design is rather classical and suits the area: cobblestone street lined with flower pots. More than anything, what really makes this hotel memorable and rare is the genuinely welcoming, warm and relaxed attitude of the staff towards us travellers. Although we were miles away from home, Omar at the reception and Nurgül, Bahar and Selcuk at the Breakfast hall with their thoughtful attention, kind smiles, and generosity made us feel at ease, almost at home. Thank you very much for your kindness and naturally enthusiastic customer care. Selcuk, my mother and I cherish the picture you took on our arrival day, a touching reminder of our beautiful adventures in Istanbul.

Shower room could be improved.

Breakfast was excellent, Location also was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The garbage collection was outside our window and was collected around 4 am .every morning making a lot of noise.

The location is superb. It is in an interesting and lively neighborhood in Sultanahmet. There is a lot to like about Ferman Old City: besides top location, it has local charm with all the modern conveniences and appointments in the rooms. Our room, the most basic and economical double, looked attractive and clean, was extremely comfortable with temp controls, good bed and linens, excellent shower and bath products, and darkening drapes. Don’t even consider skipping breakfast - a highlight is the amazing breakfast room! The view is spectacular, and the buffet features all kinds of local tastes and fresh products as well as decent cappuccino. The best thing about Ferman, though, is the warm, hospitable, friendly, very professional staff. Last but not least, the Ferman Old City is an outstanding value. Highly recommended!

Very helpful staff, excellent location (withoung needing to negotiate the narrow streets of the middle of the old city), spoilt for restaurant coice.

No English speaking TV channels. Fruit salad ran out too early at breakfast!
