Imperial Cave Suites & Spa

Location! Room size! Sevde, Omar and Ali are wonderful hosts. We are vegetarian, The restaurant staff was kind enough to offer us delicious vegetarian breakfast.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, up the hill with a beautiful view over town from the breakfast terrace and upper balconies. The spa area is beautiful as well, and I enjoyed a fantastic massage there at the end of a long day of mountain biking in the area. Breakfast is served as a set, mix of Turkish and Western style. There is a lovely lounge area on a terrace where I enjoyed having a quiet glass of wine at sunset, without the crowds that you can see at some of the terraces around and in the street above. Bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious and perfectly clean with well functioning A/C. Staff spoke good English and were friendly and professional in every way.

The hotel is in two buildings, separated by a small street. It's good to be aware of it in advance on which side you are booking a room. The original cave suites are on the upper side of the street, but my room was located on the other side of the street. While the room was lovely, this still meant that I did not have a view from my room and chose to use the communal terraces on the other side instead. It also meant that I had to cross the street in order to access the spa. This was inconvenient, especially as the hotel does not provide bathrobes. So after using the sauna and pool, I would have to go out on the street with a towel around me. I would recommend bathrobes for guests staying in the lower part of the hotel, for a more pleasant spa experience.

The location, the exceptional service. The staff went the extra mile to pack us breakfast to take away as we were leaving before breakfast hours.

The sauna and pool area could have been quieter.

The location is brilliant.

The room I got was not as per the photo. I wasn’t even a cave room. Neither was there any view.
