Paskins Town House

Nice spot for s short stay, convinient location, quiet area and nice clean room.

Everything was as expected a wonderful hotel Thanks very much for the room. Some people have complained about noisey guests l was on teh top floor and it was pretty quiet.

No door handle and the lock was falling off but not a big problem

Location is EXCELLENT, very close to the beachfront and pier so you're not far from the action. Staff were lovely and polite, my room wasn't quite ready when I arrived just after 2pm (their official check-in window is from 3pm however, so not a problem) but I was able to leave my bag at reception and come back. The room itself was as expected for this price point, a little small but not uncomfortably so. Credit to the bathroom layout, for its size it was made to feel as spacious as conceivably possible. Shower was box-like but workable, however most importantly, water pressure and temperature were fine (I was 1st floor though so perhaps that plays a part). Amenities in the room such as a few toiletries were appreciated. Despite not needing to use it, I was most impressed with the iron and mini board being available as rooms 2x as expensive that I've stayed in have failed to offer it. The mini heater fan was great to have too. Finally, upon checkout I was once again able to leave my bag for a couple hours prior to some final exploring, this was greatly appreciated.

No outright dealbreakers so just a couple nitpicks. The pulldown blind in my room couldn't lock in place, either by self mechanism, or if it needed something to hook onto, this wasn't present. There were curtains however, so this wasn't a big deal. Around the skirting/corners of my room could've done with a slightly better vacuuming on the carpet but this wasn't anything crazy, the room was otherwise to a cleanly standard.

Thge style was nice

Patron in the room above - bang bang bang on the old ceiling, we thought they were going to come through the roof. From 7pm until 1am the first night and from 10pm until 1am the second night, non stop loud plodding on the ceiling. Didn't sleep either night. For reference we were in Room 8 and Room 9 was above us
