The Rosevine

Upon arrival the staff were friendly and approachable. The location is stunning and the views are amazing, we had a sea view room with a balcony which also included a kitchen, living area, beautiful big bed, bathroom, toilet and wardrobe. The kitchen had all the utilities you need from crockery to a fridge, dishwasher, microwave. The tea and coffee facilites in the room was if high standard with biscuits and a fresh pint of milk in the fridge aswell as 2 bottles of sparkling water. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic and great value for money. There is also a swimming pool on site although we did not use this facility. Plenty of clean towels and body wash, hand soap etc provided aswell and robes and slippers in room.

Some slight decor touch up needs doing in the room but this did not affect our stay.

We received an upgrade which was very welcome. Luke, the receptionist was charming, welcoming and very engaging - a gentleman. The room was very well appointed and the bed super-comfortable. A really lovely and relaxing stay - Thank you.

Fabulous location. We had a room with kitchenette and extra bedroom with bunk beds, so lots of space. Balcony in upstairs room was good, downstairs rooms had decking with a bit more outdoor space.

Problem with the plumbing: every time someone turned a tap on there was a very loud drilling/banging noise from the pipes which woke us at night and early morning. We mentioned this to the manager but it was not resolved. We were able to move rooms halfway through our stay, and it was quieter but could still hear it. Seems understaffed and manager pleasant but under a lot of pressure - he was also the waiter in the restaurant. Poor vegetarian options for dinner (flatbread - inedible, or pizza - not available!) Kind of them to make me an omelette though, and they did give us a hefty discount in the restaurant to make up for it. Hotel seems rather run down - hook missing from bathroom door, holes in carpet, external doors hard to lock.
