Beautiful location and rooms Perfect for airport stopovers

Beds were a little uncomfortable but I still slept ok!

A pleasant surprise, en route from Bristol airport to Yorkshire. The room was lovely, sparkling clean, warm, tea coffee, fan, it looked newly decorated. Immaculate shower room. The accommodation is in outbuildings. I arrived late and was pleased staff were still there as it was v dark and finding room 4 was not easy as it is tucked behind room 12. Lights do come on, but it was a little confusing. My room looked in to the first tee and to my surprise there was a notice in the room offering a free round of golf. The pro shop were most helpful and will rent out clubs and trolleys. 9 holes on the Lakeside before I continued my journey was perfect.

I was anxious about night time access as a single traveller, if you are after 8.30 you have to self check w a map. Outside room 4 is a boiler, it does hum on and off all night. Not loud but a bit distracting. There is absolutely no internet so no sat nav when you leave.

I booked the Mendip Spring Golf & Country Club very last minute as I had missed a flight from Bristol Airport. The staff were very accomodating & friendly. The room was spotless & comfortable and had everything you needed, tea coffee, shampoo, & even some biscof biscuits. I have food intolerances. The staff were so knowledgeable and gave me a great choice of options I could oder. I had a chicken & mushroom pizza in the bar. It was so fresh, one of the best pizzas I have had. I would give Mendip Spring Golf & Country Club 5 stars. I would happily stay there again. Thanks Kathryn, Ireland

Nothing everything was fantastic.

Price very reasonable.

It was NOISY. The adjoining rooms were indifferent to fellow guests with banging of doors and all sort of noises through the night. The rooms are indifferent to fellow a wooden chalet type building. The interior walls are paper thin! This is a golf club and very busy with big demands on the staff. Some of them were quite excellent with customer relations. Some of them need further encouragement with the niceties of waitressing. Constant music and loud chatter is not the type of golf club premises we’re used to. Too noisy.
