Kulla Pracja Theth

It was for a decent price and the house was in a good location, only a 5-10 minute walk from the Theth center with a shortcut bridge over the river behind the house. Since I had a top-floor room, the view was good. The bed blanket was comfortable. The morning breakfast was absolutely amazing.

The room had only the bed and a chair that was occupied by a portable heater with the cord being too short to reach the floor. The only power socket was also occupied by the heater. The room was very cold when we arrived, but the heater working on full blast kept the room at a comfortable temperature after a few hours. The shared bathroom had shower and toilet in the same location and its floor was uncomfortably cold.

The whole stay was fantastic.The food was amazing with stunning views

Brilliant and beautiful place to stay after Valbone-Theth hike. Close enough to centre of Theth but far enough away to feel ‘secluded’. Awesome breakfast, great hospitality from hosts and super picturesque setting in historic building. Restaurant additionally did a very nice and fairly reasonably priced set-menu with good wines for dinner which was a nice bonus we didn’t expect. Room was clean and comfortable. The children of the owner / staff on the property are really friendly as are the little kittens and dogs they have roaming around the place.

The benefits definitely outweigh the drawbacks of this place and I would absolutely stay here again but I feel I must be transparent on our particular room which was in the main historic building (I think I’d try to book a different / bigger room or one of the ‘villas’ outside next time for fully positive experience): -The ‘en-suite’ bathroom with shower is a very small ‘wet room’. The shower head quite literally sprays over the toilet so you need to squeeze yourself between the toilet and wall to shower. Floor gets absolutely soaked all the way to the door so you will get wet feet when you need to go to the toilet after a shower. -The sound-proofing was very poor. I suspect this is just the nature of staying in such an old property and a drawback you have to accept but just to warn that you will hear every footstep and cough from your neighbours above. Not great when the poor person staying above you seems to have picked up the worlds most tickling, relentless, non-stop cough (no fault to the host here but sets context).

The grounds of the full property are spectacular and gorgeous. The staff (especially Aleks) are fantastic and helpful, and the location is super serene.

The stone guesthouse itself is very old, the walls are paper thin (and our neighbor had a horrible cough we heard all night), the shower doesn’t ever get hot, qnd you’re showering next to your toilet (basically on it). The floor is also not level, so everything kept rolling to the other side. The big bed in our room was super hard and uncomfortable, and I ended up rolled on the other side and nearly falling off because of the slant 😂. The small bed was good though.
