The Morritt Hotel

The friendliness of the staff was lovely. Felt welcome and we enjoyed our bar meal. Breakfast also good.

I found the lighting on the stairs difficult. My eyesight is poor in dim light and I missed a step. Used a torch after that.

Absolutely fantastic. The garage spa add on was wonderful, lovely clean facilities. The dickens bar was superb, “Butch” the bar tender is second to non, he made our stay a great one , nothing was too much to ask for , brilliant service. We dined in the restaurant which was an equally enjoyable experience, the food was delicious and staff were very attentive, in particular “Lou” on the evening shift. Breakfast was lovely also. Sarah on the reception was such a helpful staff member and went out of her way to help us when asked.

Perhaps an upgrade in mattress’ would be a suggestion - aside this no other issue whatsoever.

The location was beautiful. The Hotel was comfortable, but the bedroom needed updating and painting. The staff were lovely very accommodating and friendly. Easy road access to the Dale's and other attractions. A very quiet place to stay well off the busy A 66 road. Country views and local walks.

The bedroom was quite small and in need of up dating and painting. The door the bathroom was hard to open, also the entrance door to the room was very stiff to open. The bedroom lacked enough cups, teabags and glasses for two people and a few trips up and down the stairs was needed. On the whole the hotel was comfortable, warm, and friendly. The food was lovely and the service very good.

Lovely main building and garden in wonderful location. Pleasant staff.

Annex room was dated, dreary and dirty. Bathroom mould.
