This hotels key selling point is the location and setting, but that’s where it ends and it’s not worth the high nightly rate.
The room was basic including bedding and the double room was two beds pushed together with very uncomfortable mattresses. I pride my reviews of expensive hotels on comfort and thus hotel fell short. We were in another two hotels during our stay that were half the price but were so much more comfortable. The lunch was very mediocre.

Our room was very spacious and it was a bonus to have 2 bathrooms so that we could both get ready at the same time (we had a garden view suite). The restaurant and pool bar were excellent and the staff were very attentive. The view from the restaurant, pool bar and pool area is stunning.
The room cleaning was a bit haphazard. The staff often left a cleaning cloth behind or forgot to empty the bin etc. Only minor things but it might be worth having someone check the rooms after they have been cleaned to ensure all is in order.
