Bed & Breakfast Macallè

The host was fabulous, very welcoming and helpful. We loved our breakfast with fresh breads and pastries!

The room was inexplicably warm, a/c helped somewhat. The bathroom was private but external which was fine but door didn’t lock from inside. The whole bathroom badly needs renovated!! The bedroom was clean, nice floor and big enough. The balcony was small but nice to have.

The person in the reception is TOP! He provided us a a very warm service. Huge thanks! The breakfast is fresh and delicious, a good local taste discovery. We advice strongly this sweet hotel!

We had seen quite a few negative reviews beforehand, so perhaps we were well prepared for what to expect and did not have high expectations. The room, and especially the bathroom, is quite dated, which can make it look a little unclean at first glance, although we felt that it was reasonably clean. The breakfast was good, with the host providing three local bread rolls per person. There was also yoghurt, packaged bread rolls and fruit available. The host was friendly and explained everything clearly. We could not check in at our preferred time, but we had not requested this well in advance either and we eventually found a solution together.

The mattresses were not very comfortable and we would recommend renovating (especially the bathroom), as this would make a big difference. We could not lock the bathroom door from the inside, although this may have been user error on our part 😉. We also could not turn off the light on the air conditioning unit without switching the entire unit off, which made the room quite bright at night.
