In the rooms there are 2 types of beds. normal height and very big height, and better ask in the reception, which type you prefer. The location of the hotel is excellent, not far from the central bus station, and in the main road of the old city. The breakfast is a good buffrt.

Hotel Ruze is undoubtedly a beautiful property with a unique atmosphere. The historic monastery building is impressive, and both the breakfast room and the bar are elegant. Unfortunately, a few issues meant that our stay did not meet the expectations of a five-star hotel. Our room did not have a refrigerator. Although there was a kettle, no tea or coffee was provided, which was quite surprising for a hotel of this standard. One evening we wanted to enjoy a drink at the hotel bar. We waited for around 10 minutes, looking for a member of staff, but no one appeared, so we eventually left. The information regarding the wellness facilities was also unclear. The swimming pool is prominently featured in the hotel’s photos, but we were not given any information about using it during check-in. We noticed that other guests did receive such information. Online, it is also easy to find references to additional charges for the sauna and jacuzzi, making the whole policy rather confusing. The biggest disappointment, however, was the parking situation. The hotel is located in a pedestrian zone, which means guests cannot drive directly to the entrance. This information should be much clearer during the booking process. The recommended parking costs €33 per day, is located some distance from the hotel, and unfortunately does not feel secure for motorcycles. We were travelling by motorcycle, and the following morning I discovered clear signs that someone had attempted to remove some of the accessories mounted on it. Fortunately, nothing was stolen, most likely because the intruders were disturbed. Nevertheless, it is very frustrating to pay for parking and still feel that the vehicle is no safer than if it had been left on the street. Hotel Ruze is a beautiful place with great potential, but better communication with guests, clearer information about parking and wellness facilities, and more attentive service would make a significant difference to the overall experience.
