Villa Moorings

The house has such a history and it is a beautiful villa with pool just a few short mins walk to the old town. Great big rooms. The building is majestic and the hosts (Nadia) and crew just made the whole experience

We picked the budget room so it was our selection that meant we didn’t have a window. Stairs, to the top every day but it’s an old building so expect that. The shower is really small and a tight squeeze so it’s a quick jump in and out.

Lovely spacious apartment, incredible interior throughout the whole building. Vast balcony space with breathtaking mountain views on one side and hilltop medieval Italian town view on the other. The breakfast was abundant, something for everyone and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Very lovely location, safe neighbourhood and an easy 5 min walk to the hilltop town of Barga which was filled with tunnels and crumbly stone archways, along with an abundance of Italian restaurants and shops. The bed was SO comfortable and the room/property had everything we needed for our stay.

The pool was a little bit cold but we did visit in September!

We really enjoyed our overnight here. The room was nice and clean and we loved the pool area.
