The breakfast was delicious, and the grounds were beautiful, well maintained and very relaxing. Staff that we dealt with were kind and friendly. We had to leave very early in the morning so they sent some breakfast packages with us to have at the airport which was fantastic.
The rooms were small and felt boxy and without much light. The superior family suite has nice bedrooms, but no extra space to sit. The fit out of the rooms felt a little cheap and synthetic compared to what I expected. We basically avoided being in our room as much as possible - luckily the grounds were beautiful. The service by the pool was nice but hard to find - we had to go to reception to get them to send someone over every time. The food by the pool was underwhelming.

The property felt had an estate house feel with many varied areas for eating, sitting, relaxing, and just enjoying the property. The design is unique and calming. The staff are very helpful - it feels like a mini resort. A great place to stay as a base for trips to the wineries, an easy day trip to Taormina or other coast points or the bustle of Catania. I would stay again if my travels bring me back to Sicily.
