Breakfast very good. Ceilings rather low so tall folk need to be careful. Bed very comfortable.

Very nice touch - letters of Happy Birthday being put into my room before arrival! Comfortable bed, central location to wander around and explore New Forest. Good coffee and breakfast. Conveniently located restaurant together with the hotel, so during winter months you don’t have to go anywhere if you don’t want to.

Customers names displayed at the parking lot. In all my extensive travelling around the world I’ve never seen that.. something in me thinks it’s too much information shared with the whole village. Maybe it’s better to use Room names for allocated parking, not customers full names. I had to use an electric heater as it was cold at night, but wall heaters didn’t work. Too heavy air fresheners, had to switch both of them off.

We loved the crisp fresh bed linen and the very clean ensuite. The breakfast was very nice ( except the coffee)

The bed was very firm, there were only internal shutters on the windows ( no curtains) so light came through all night - there were lights on outside. The road outside was busy and we found the traffic disturbed us. There were shelves next to the bed but one side sloped downwards so couldn’t be used for a glass of water. We booked a small double room and we were happy with the size, however we would have appreciated a chair. The headboard was very uncomfortable to lean against.
