Ethos Hotel - Oxford City

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The good thing is they have parking at a small charge. Also it is just outside the pay zone for a congestion tax and can get to the hotel without entering the zone. It is a short 10 minute picturesque walk and you are in the middle of Oxford action. Besides the accomodation the cafe for breakfast is excellent and the food is outstanding.

Great location, the apartment we had was great for a big group. The waiter at breakfast was excellent and the food and coffee were very good. Well appointed kitchen.

Lots of damp areas, could do with some upgrading. No duvets on the bed so very cold overnight. Poor pressure in the shower and curtain too small. Receptionist on arrival slightly officious

The location was superb, on the corner of a parallel street of a main route into Oxford City, outside of the charging zone. I was very fortunate to have permit parking and was able to park just a few cars distance from my accommodation. Loved the laid back style of the caffe which was on the other corner of the road from my accommodation. My room was in a modern annexe further along the road but attached to the main Hotel building. It was spacious, modern, loved the kitchenette facility and the shower was easy to work with plentiful hot water. My bed was luxe, lovely linens and towels. Couldn't fault it at all. Breakfast was included too!

I haven't paid that much £150 for a hotel room for a long time, to me that is luxury price. But I understand my stay was on the day that the students were all returning to school and sadly the prices go up because so many parents need accommodation. The old, old, adage, like prices going up during the school holidays, never going to change I guess. BUT excellent location for City sightseeing.

Beds had springs sticking out of them. The bathroom was not very clean.
