Beautiful spot that seems to be in the middle of nowhere, but is actually less than a 10 minute drive to the harbor and restaurants. The house is well appointed, breakfast was wonderful, the bed was comfortable

The road to get there is a bit intimidating at night after dinner out, but if you're driving on Harris, you'd better be able to handle it!

This place is exceptional. The house is situated about a five minute drive or 20-25 minute walk from Tarbert, peaceful, quiet and beautiful. A good place for exploring Isle of Harris. The rooms are comfortable, cozy and clean. A bonus on windy nights is that you can just lie in bed and listen to the wind roar outside. The lounge is great for reading, chatting with others guests, having a gin & tonic, a wee dram or just sit and look at the spectacular views. Great breakfasts! Elly and Andy and their kids are such friendly and welcoming hosts. A huge plus for me and my friend were the animals. We loved having them around and sharing the couch in the lounge with Phoebe the cat in the evening ❤️ So happy we stayed at Ceol na Mara!
