La Casa del Poeta Enna - Pergusa

Bel ancien pavillon de chasse , à proximité du lac de Pergusa , confortablement aménagé avec beaucoup de goût , tout en respectant la qualité du bâti et des lieux . Accueil charmant de la propriétaire , toujours à l'écoute et au service de ses hôtes : on a l'agréable impression de faire partie de ses amis , et on est reçus comme de vieilles connaissances . Notre séjour , en transit prévu pour une seule nuit , a été si agréable et reposant , que nous avons choisi de faire un grand détour pour y revenir !

That the only option for dinner was to go to another place but they did help us by recommending restaurants.

This accommodation is one of a kind where the host blended modern furnishings in an old farm building. It was evident that nothing was spared, with a meticulous eye for detail when the decor was implemented. It was more like a private home rather than a business rental. All areas were spotlessly clean and white is whiter than white! The beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was superb with a selection of food on offer. Giuliana the host is extremely friendly and helpful, and just a message away when needed. A well tuned upright piano in the lobby was an asset for my daughter's daily piano practice. The place is very quiet with parking on private grounds. A large clean pool was available, but unfortunately we did not have enough time to use it. Simply put, this is the place to stay if you are visiting Enna.

The private bathroom is on a tiered flooring which may be an issue for persons with a mobility problem. This did not affect our stay.

we loved the bucolic location nestled amongst rolling hills with olive trees, wild flowers, and farmhouses. The place and rooms were artfully conceived and appointed. The staff (Redon? from the Phillipines) was excellent!

We most especially did not like: lack of privacy and noise between the upstairs rooms - we felt like others could hear every word of ours. we also did not like hearing the many dogs barking incessantly in the surrounding fields early in the morning. The design of the bathroom/toilet was unique but a bit precarious.
