Hôtel du Jeu de Paume Versailles

Everything! Not only was it the closest to the chateau — the next street over—was local and had tons on restaurants

Location was the best! Great restaurants and very close to the palace.

Hot but we anticipated that.

We were in the area to see Versailles and the location could not have been more convenient. The room was adequate size, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was fresh and varied, inside or on a lovely patio.

We truly enjoyed everything about this hotel except it's lack of air conditioning which was needed during the heat wave we experienced. They did provide a strong fan and the windows easily opened for circulation however.

The staff were all excellent. Location was perfect for seeing Versailles

This is an unusual property. I would not stay again because it does not have air conditioning and the room was hot and stuffy. One fan was in the room and staff gave us another which made it livable. In the summer it would have simp[ly been too hot. Elevator was broken and had been so for at least three weeks. Breakfast was ok, but not great for the price. As I said, an unusual place, I liked it but would not stay again. It is a victim of climate change and the strict Paris building codes.
