Hotel Lido Mediterranee

If you enjoy the atmosphere of Miss Marple novels, you will probably love this hotel — it has preserved the charm of the early 20th century. I kept expecting to see Miss Marple sitting in one of the large armchairs in the lobby :) One of the definite highlights is the private beach, along with the incredible, almost Hollywood-like view from the balcony and the soothing sound of the waves. The cosy lobby and the restaurant terrace under the trees were especially charming. The hotel staff were friendly and polite. For the birthday, we received a bottle of Prosecco and some fruit from the hotel, which was a very nice touch. The furniture is a little tired, but the bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and the room was serviced daily. As for the location, it really depends on what you are looking for. We wanted to stay as close to the sea as possible, so the location suited us perfectly. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to the cable car that takes you up into town, or you can simply take a taxi. This was not a problem for us at all. There is a railway line near the hotel, but I cannot say that the noise from the trains was particularly noticeable or disturbing. Overall, this is not a place for those looking for a brand-new, modern interior. It is more about the atmosphere, the sea, the views, and the feeling of staying in an old-fashioned seaside hotel with real character.

The bathroom was a little too small, although I understand that this is probably difficult to change. Unfortunately, the breakfasts were disappointing. From a four-star hotel, I expected a greater variety of dishes. There were no basic items such as dark bread or good-quality cheese, and there was no fish at all during our stay. We also constantly had to wait for something to be replenished: sometimes the vegetables had run out, sometimes the bread, and sometimes something else. Unfortunately, the restaurant is clearly the weak point of the hotel.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and comfy

I didn’t realize I had to clean the giant shrimp I ordered for lunch, although Tasty…too much work! And the beach was little challenging,once we walked to calmer waters it was great. The beach attendant was great!

Hotel nie jest stylizowany na stary tylko jest stary i słabo odnawiany. Lokalizacja straszna, przy ruchliwej drodze, bez chodników. Nigdzie nie można pójść na spacer. Recepcja bardzo niepomocna, w restauracji wręcz niegrzeczna. Jedzenie niesmaczne, na śniadaniach ciągle czegoś brakowało. Plaża kamienista,malutka. Łazienka dramatyczna - korzystając z toalety trzymasz nogi w kabinie prysznica… hotel na pewno nie zasługuje na 4*
