Chosen a room with sea views that were amazing from 5th floor. Breakfast had an excellent selection and really good value. The Terrace for lounging with lunch - tapas etc was very comfortable. Food and drinks excellent. Location was excellent and although on a steep slope, there is a funicular available 24x7 down to main street, where there are bus routes into centre of city. We chose this as near to Yacht Club Club deMar and marina.
At this time of year (October), the pool becomes shaded early afternoon and the terrace has no sun by 1600. After first 2 days, the pool had no lifeguard present and cones had been placed at the steps and the slope for entry into the water. We assume to dissuade us from swimming.

We upgraded to a sea view room and we had the most amazing view over the marina.
The restaurant terrace has the same view, it's simply stunning.
We didn't realise the funicular lift could take you up and down the hill - we discovered it on the last day and it was brilliant.

Lovely hotel! Clean and fresh. Great pool!
Staff were in inconsistent with requests. Saying we could check out late but then phoning to ask us to leave hotel room.
