The Paris Hotel

The room facing the sea was beautiful... Fell asleep with the window open listening to the waves. They really went above and beyond to cater for me as a vegan, and the spinach and mushroom pasta was HUGE - just what I needed after days of walking 😋

The *only* thing I could fault was that the WiFi (and therefore digital TV) was a little hit and miss

Location was fabulous. Staff were friendly and helpful. Limited menu on the night we stayed due to an event, but the fish and chips we had were very good.

Could do with a bit of tlc in places. En-suite would benefit from a smaller sink when it is next refurbished to give more space around the loo. Windows were either stuck shut or were very stiff so we were unable to open them.

Great location on harbour and for walking the SW Coast Path, friendly staff, good food, relaxed atmosphere, good views from room.

Bathroom size a little challenging

Excellent position and sea views. Pleasant staff. Good breakfast. Ample car parking. Good quality toiletries.

I don't want to appear critical, but hopefully my comments will be helpful for both potential customers and the hotel owners. Our room was very small - so small that there was no room for chairs. Television was excellent size, but unfortunately live programmes were unavailable. We asked staff for help but were told that we could only watch programmes through the apps - BBC and ITV etc catch-up, Netflix or YouTube etc, so we couldn't watch any of the normal aired programmes such as BBC Breakfast, the news or weather forecasts. The TV was positioned fairly high up, and the room being so small we had to sit on the beds, close-up and looking upwards - rather uncomfortable viewing! We were staying for two nights, and on our first morning there was NO hot water - obviously a fault in the system which I'm pleased to say was rectified for the second day - staff were very apologetic. Unfortunately there were lots of flies in the dining room - I'm sure a simple spray could alleviate the problem. So as I said earlier I hope my comments, both positive and less so will be helpful for everyone.
