Mad Monkey Melbourne

The accommodation was spotless and comfy. Bed was huge, facilities were clean and cleaned everyday, and the staff were always super friendly and approachable. The hostel is chill and affordable, other guests were kind and sociable too. Food nights in the kitchen/roof terrace were a superb experience as well, will definitely recommend!

Nothing really, it was my first time staying in a backpackers hostel and honestly it's been a great experience.

I had such a great stay at Mad Monkey Melbourne! All of the staff are genuinely so lovely, welcoming and friendly, and they’re amazing at what they do. You can really tell that they care about making sure everyone feels comfortable and has a good experience. The hostel itself is also super clean, which makes such a difference when you’re staying somewhere for a while. Emre, the manager, is welcoming and makes an effort to speak to everyone. You can really see how he’s created such a positive environment where people genuinely enjoy spending time at the hostel and getting to know each other. It’s a really social hostel, which is perfect if you’re travelling solo or want to meet people, but it also manages to be quiet at night, which I really appreciated. A lot of people are working, so there’s a nice balance between having a fun, social atmosphere and being able to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, I couldn’t recommend Mad Monkey Melbourne enough. Great people, great atmosphere, super clean and genuinely feels like a welcoming community rather than just a hostel!

Nothing it has been really good

I arrived alone and left with friends, the staff is super friendly and makes you feel part of the group, the reception staff, muy amorosa! When I return to Melbourne, I'll definitely stay at this hotel.

The rooms were a good size. The kitchen is well equipped.

A lot of people are staying there long term so it's not so much of a backpackers hostel. The location is good for getting to the airport but not so close to other things in the city.
