Elgin Villa

There were choices of cereals, pastries and grapes with either tea, coffee, milk or water. Hot breakfast menu was smaller than your usual b&b but the scrambled eggs on toast were really good. The B&B was within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go and only used the car on day 3 to go and visit a castle. The private off road parking was a bonus as we felt the car was secure. Would highly recommend a stay at Elgin Villa.

The B&B is run by a lovely couple! We had a really nice stay, the city center was very close (~20 minute walking distance). The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The fact that there was parking available was very convenient for us. As an FYI, there’s not WiFi, but for us it was not a problem at all!

The location was great, 2 mins walk from The Crescent. The bus from the airport stops very close to the B&B just before you get to Bath Spa train station, so perfect. The hosts were happy for you to leave your bags before and after check in and out. The rooms were clean, the double bed and pillow were comfortable, the single bed was not so, the room was for 3 people and it was big enough. The shower was not powerful at all, which was a pain, but I think this is quite normal for such old houses.

Breakfast was limited, porridge, cornflakes, grapes, scrambled egg on toast and croissants, nothing else. The B&B is hosted by a husband and wife, the gentleman was nice and friendly, the lady sometimes came across rude and not always friendly, so there were moments of awkwardness, which means I would sadly not return.
