SMART San Martino

To stay in an old railway station turned into a restaurant and hotel is of corse a unique experience. We had a big room with a separate sitting area, all comfortable and clean. There was some noise from the restaurant, but nothing that bothered us. Breakfast coins were provided to four cafés in the nearest vicinity. You got a coffe, a juice and a croissant. Check in was by keybox if you wanted access to the room before the restaurant opened in the evening. The restaurant had very good food and of course a similarly unique setting with a lovely garden and even a green house. Free parking in a big parking lot close by.

Construction of a new building was going on just next to the hotel. No work was in progress when we stayed there, the site actually felt a bit abandoned. But if the work continues, the hotel will not be in solitary postion any more.

This is a lovely place to stay and the rooms are really comfortable. Great bathrooms, easy (free) parking and lovely breakfast in the cafe over the road. The restaurant is superb and we highly recommend it as part of your stay.

Nothing of any significance. We were only there for one night as a stop over and it was a perfect option for that but the area is on our list to return too.

Location and parking .

Property didn’t provide breakfast you had to go to a local cafe . On the days we were there 1 cafe was closed on Sunday and another one was closed Monday . Leaving a choice of only 3 .

Absolutely loved our one-night stay here. The hotel is super cozy, and the staff in both the hotel and restaurant are amazing—so friendly and attentive. Make sure to stay for dinner! The food is outstanding, and eating right by the river with those incredible views was the highlight of our trip. Will definitely be back!
