Hotel-Gasthof Maria Plain

Location was wonderful. A bit out of Salzburg but lovely. The hotel has true charm, a stunning view and a beautiful exterior for walking or just enjoying the outside. Breakfast was a typical continental style with a nice assortment.

Finding any negative is difficult, but one annoyance was the lack of shelf in shower to hold soap and shampoo. I had to place these on the floor and bend down to get them when ready to wash my hair. My balance is not good and this was stressful.

Wspaniały obiekt, z przepięknym widokiem na Salzburg, z wieloletnią tradycją. Usytuowany ok. 2 km od autostrady, na wzgórzu, otoczony zielenią i historycznymi budowlami. Pomocna i serdeczna obsługa. Umeblowanie, wyposażenie i wystrój pałacowy, bardzo wygodne łóżka, liczne udogodnienia. Obiekt bardzo zadbany i czysty. I czuć ten zmysłowy, podkreślający atmosferę klimat. Każdy powinien tam dotrzeć, my wrócimy.

The breakfast was very good. A very large selection of items.

Nice hotel nice surroundings. Handy for airport for early flights home.

The evening meal was not a great experience. We were left waiting 45 minutes before the waitress came for our order. She would walk past us on numerous occasions and it was if we weren't there. Eventually she came to us and was very sharp and not helpfull. We would ask about the menu as it was in Austrian and we did not understand it all. She was most unhelpful. Eventually our starters came wich to be fair was very nice. Then another 40 minutes wait for our main course. Wich again was very nice. Dining experience just tarnished what was otherwise a nice stay.
