Very peaceful view is wonderful. Cabin is decorated so cute. Had a wonderful time.

We had a wonderful time at the Diamond Willow Hideaway. Our family has vacationed in the Park Rapids/Nevis/Dorset area for many years but this was our first time on Big Sand Lake. The house itself is setup up and decorated so beautifully. The one level living space and no major steps to get to the lake/dock area made it very accessible for both young and old in our party. The lake water was so clear! We enjoyed sunrises, sunsets, kayaking, pontoon rides, and catching some perch and bass right off the dock! Various wildlife including; swans, loons, ducks, eagles, squirrels, various other birds and chipmunks kept us entertained throughout our week stay. The location makes it easy to head off on mini day trips if one wants to venture away, but there are enough water toys, games, puzzles and other things to do right at the lake home if you choose to simply stay at the lake. Jane and Glenn were great hosts. Always quick to reply to any questions or concerns. Check-in and Check-out were both easy! Thank you for sharing your place with our family. We made some wonderful family memories during our stay.

awesome place

Not only was this location the perfect spot for a private beach getaway, the house is gorgeous and has everything! It is stocked with yard games, boats, marshmallow roasters...literally everything you could want or need as a guest. (We had more than a few bags that didn’t even get unloaded because they had everything we needed). The beach is perfect for young kids, and the lack itself is gorgeous and crystal clear. Jane (property manager) was communicative and helpful prior to our stay and throughout our trip. We are already looking into available space for next year. Thanks for a great family summer vacation!
