Lagarza Hostel

Had the whole 4 bed shared room to myself, which was a plus! There are lockers and drawers for each bed if you need to put your stuff away if the room is being shared. The staff were up early every morning cleaning and caring for the property. Beach is a 30 second walk from the hostel and felt isolated, like I had the whole place to myself! Wonderful scenery. I liked multiple outdoor showers to rinse off after the beach. The pool is amazing and well kept! I also enjoyed happy hour from 5:00-6:00 daily with half off the drink of the day. Kind staff who made me feel comfortable despite the language barrier. The breakfast was delicious!

The bathrooms could use some updating. My shower did not heat up and the space is cramped. Also, the road to get to the hostel is extremely rocky and bumpy. Takes about 5 minutes to slowly make your way to the hostel from the main road. Very isolated from nearby beaches and attractions

Food was good, beds and room were clean and comfortable. The beach was not the greatest and the rocky road getting to hostel could be better. Chill, relax environment more for singles and youth verses a whole family. Lots of stairs so if mobility issues pick somewhere else. Otherwise it was great for our 1 night stay.

Private secure road with guard at the entrance. The property is pristine and tucked away in nature. Nice staff and superb food. Even a super cute friendly dog named Smurf!

Size of the beds was great. AC was effective. All rooms have a fan just in case the AC fails for whatever reason. Breakfast was superb and quick. Portion is typical. Menú is quite broad and food tends to come out in good time. It is well prepared and flavors are consistent. Very short walk to the beach down through the property. Maybe 3 mins, if that. Yeny (the receptionist) at the front desk might be one of the most well humoured and accommodating people I have ever met. Calm. Smiley. Helpful. The sort of energy that makes you forget where you are. When a child was clearly have a tough time during a storm she even got some paint and paper to help calm them down.

Nothing not to like. I would just reiterate that this is a not a central location. Everyone at the hostel is super kind and will help you move around when you need to.
