Seven Stars Penryn

A perfect stay. We were shown to our room even though we arrived late and the pub was very busy with customers. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom. Breakfast was in a basket which made it very easy to eat and leave the following day. The bus service from outside the pub is very efficient taking you to Falmouth of the University very easily.

The room was clean and comfortable.

The pub didn't serve food, however we were able to eat out takeaway in the pub, which was great.

Unfortunately the kitchen wasn’t opened due to a staffing problem but we caught the bus outside into Falmouth for dinner.

It was in a fabulous location and the room was large and spacious even for 3 people.

The room was quite noisy and we found one particular staff member quite rude. The young girls behind the bar were lovely but when we were shown to our room it only had enough stuff (cups towels tea coffee etc) for 2 people not 3. When we asked for more for the third person we were told we had only booked for 2. The young girls were brilliant and said they would sort the extra things but that the supervisor had to authorise it and she was on her way in as she wasn’t working and the only one with the key. When she came she argued with us that we had only booked for two despite me showing her the emails we had sent back and fourth with regards to the third person and the fact we had been charged extra for a third person. We understand mistakes happen, we’re all human but instead of just apologising she got very defensive and rude and it seems crazy the people in charge of showing guests to their rooms can’t access extra items when the supervisor isn’t there. All in all it was an ok stay but we wouldn’t stay again due to how rudely we were spoken too. All it would have taken was an apology and maybe a free drink or something at the bar but we got nothing but a mouthful. We also weren’t told in advance that the pub wouldn’t be serving food as the kitchen was shut
