The Valley

Comfortable and very well equipped cottage with excellent facilities including indoor and outdoor pools. Appreciated the dog walks and contained paddock on site. Helpful staff.

Cottage was really well equipped, with various small freebies (coffee pods, dishwasher tablets) etc that were really useful. Staff went above and beyond- universally friendly and helpful. Nightly tourism suggestions posted through the door were great. Children’s entertainment was low-key but great (particularly Mark’s Ark with various exotic animals in an intimate space). Pools both in good order and temperature.

The main double bed could have been a bit more comfortable. But only a minor comment as it was otherwise excellent.

Wonderful quiet location in a picturesque spot. Facilities from the pools to the park and restaurant were excellent.

The pool and staff

No hot water in the evening - the team told us on arrival that they work 9-6pm. The hot water issue happened around 9pm. When we told them about this on departure they asked why we didn’t call them! First I was in shower when it happen, I had to take cold shower out! This is a basic which they failed to provide also the property is not clean!! Very bad smell as we entered in and throughout the stay. The staff are nice but they were not able to make up for the issue with hot water and didn’t even offer anything and made it sound like our issues.
