Woodlands Bed and Breakfast

Typical clean B&B bedroom with ensuite facilities with auto light at night time. Tea and coffee provided in the room which had modern fittings. Friendly owners helped with suitcases on the stairs. Standard choices for cooked breakfast.

Poor lighting in our room and lack of surfaces to put things on.

We absolutely loved our stay at Woodlands Bed & Breakfast. It is a lovely house, and the hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was lovely, the beds were extremely comfortable and we had a fantastic night's sleep. Everything was absolutely spotless, including the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice, and they were also able to cater for gluten-free requirements, which was really appreciated. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They even said we were welcome to order a takeaway and bring it back to eat in their dining room, which we did with a Chinese takeaway. Such a simple gesture, but it really demonstrated how accommodating and relaxed they were. The room was £130.50, but we were so impressed with the accommodation and the hospitality that I insisted on paying £150. It genuinely felt worth every penny.

Absolutely nothing! We couldn't fault our stay.

Wow.. what a beautiful building. We were on motorbikes as travelling NC500, the B&B had great parking for the bikes and perfect location to stop on route of the NC500. Village is in walking distance. Breakfast was really good as well. Hosts were welcoming and very accommodating.

Location was good

External appearance of house and grounds disappointing, suggested neglect. Piles of linen, ironing board and cleaning materials on landing made me feel I was coming into someone’s home rather than commercial guest accommodation. Bedroom - hanging rail over shelf for kettle, not fit for purpose, couldn’t fill kettle under tap. Breakfast bland.
