Hôtel Quartier Latin

My wife and I took a late decision to take a break in Paris, preferably in the 5th arrondissement and Hotel Quartier Latin seemed to fulfill those needs. Having stayed in Paris on a few occasions, we expected a "compact" room and that was what we had. No problems though; views out of the window out onto the neighbouring cafes, early morning sunshine and a quiet, well sound-insulated room. We didn't use the breakfast facilities since we like to get a bit of a walk in before breakfast; usually 3000 to 4000 steps. Room service was efficient and unobtrusive. In short, we wouldn't have any problems paying this hotel another visit.

In these days of digital devices, it would have been nice to have have had USB outlets on the wall sockets.

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. AC in the room is excellent, one of the coolest temp. you could experienced in a hotel. Highly recommend for hot summer day in Paris! Great location, walkable distant to many attractions. Great value with the money you pay.

The room isn't the cleanest, towels got some stinks in it.

The location is superb. The shelves full of books at the reception were very in with the theme of the Quartier Latin. The staff was friendly. The hotel is in a typical Parisian building and had a good atmosphere overall.

Unfortunately, the walls are very thin. Doors open and close with a lot of noise. There were some young travellers who kept knocking on each other's doors and talked loudly in the hallway at night. They were repeatedly warned by staff and hotel guests but kept making noise night after night. If this was a very cheap hotel, I would perhaps accept it, but for this price, I expected more than this kind of youth hostel feel...
