Hotel Horizon Kazbegi

The location is great - just a couple of blocks up from the main road in Kazbegi, meaning that it was just a 5 or 10 minute walk to most shops and restaurants. The view from the room was fantastic; if the weather had been better we would have made use of the balcony more. The breakfast was very generous and tasty; the bathroom was clean - some people seem to complain about the fact that there is nothing that separates the shower from the rest of the bathroom apart from a shower curtain, but this really didn't bother us, and also, many hotel bathrooms in Georgia are designed like this.

The room was a smelled a little musty, damp.. but it was not overpowering enough to bother us. The double bed consisted of two single beds which is fine, but one of the single beds was quite soft - I was sinking towards the edge of the bed a little bit. Nevertheless, I got used to it and I actually slept well.

The breafast was excellent!

Great breakfast- omlette, hachipuri. Nice hosts.

We are not sure, but it felt like there was a smell of mold in the room.

Breakfast is a lot and very generous. As it’s so close to the center (main big street, 1 minute by car), easy to drive to the famous church on your own car.

Outside of the hotel looks a bit dated.
